Welcome to The Rotary Club of Navan.
Welcome to the official website of The Rotary Club of Navan. We have been actively involved in numerous Navan community service projects and have supported local charities since we were founded forty years ago in 1980. Our club also actively supports International projects worldwide endorsed by Rotary International and nationally through Rotary in Great Britain & Ireland (RIBI).
Navan is the principal town of County Meath famous for its rich history and many internationally renowned heritage sites. Navan sits at the meeting of the Blackwater and Boyne rivers. Ever since prehistoric times Navan and the Boyne Valley was the focus point for Irish culture, industry and administration. Among historic treasures are Newgrange, Dowth and Knowth and the centre of Ireland of its time, Tara, where the High Kings reigned and all national roads met. Navan sits at the centre of a rich agricultural resource. In recent centuries the many mills in and around Navan are reminders that the Boyne Valley is one the most productive farming areas in the world with wheat yields equal to or better than the famous Paris Basin.
Either you are a visiting Rotarian, local resident or a visitor to Ireland; you are most welcome to join us at any of our fellowship nights or during any of our events. Our meetings are held in a friendly atmosphere. As a club we value Friendship, Fellowship and Fun.
I hope you will find this website a useful insight into our club activities and particularly upcoming events.
Thank you.
