Geraldine Honan Rotary Club of Navan President 2026 - 2027

I am truly honoured to serve as the President of the Rotary Club of Navan, now celebrating its 47th year. As a Navan native and the second-generation President following in my father's footsteps, this role holds special significance for my family and me.

For over 46 years, the Rotary Club of Navan has proudly represented People of Action, dedicated to serving our community and addressing global challenges like polio eradication, providing clean water in underdeveloped countries, and making a lasting impact in regions facing climate and political turmoil.

We deeply appreciate the support from the people of Navan and Meath for all our initiatives. Familiar projects like the Christmas Tree of Hope and Remembrance, Theatre Night, and Golf Classic resonate with many. We take particular pride in our annual Kids Day Out and the Youth Leadership and Development competition, which empower local students with valuable interview and presentation skills.

This year, I am excited to lead our club with a focus on Youth Services, including the Youth Leadership and Development and the Just 1 Life road safety awareness campaign. We will continue to support local projects, charities, and address local and global environmental and health issues. Our club is committed to expanding its reach and welcomes ideas from groups and organisations on how we can further serve our community. We wish to Live the Values of Service above Self and to follow this year’s theme and ensure we are Creating a Lasting Impact. I look forward to working with the amazing Rotarians within my Club, and nationally and internationally to continue the work now and on the foundations of those who went before.
